Teaching Children ~ Reaching Families
Parents are encouraged to participate in the program and are supported in their efforts to improve the conditions and quality of family
life. Parents are recognized as their child's first and most important teachers. Our success relies on strong parent involvement!
Parents are Partners – not observers – in their children's education. We believe parents are children's most important teachers and
we encourage them to be active participants in all aspects of our programs.
Family Workers are center-based to help identify and obtain
support services and programs for families. These include the following: resources and referrals for job training and education programs,
financial needs, social services, targeted community programs & recruiting efforts, and overall support for parents suffering
from disabilities, job loss, family instability and much more!
All parents are required to recognize a need to prioritize and focus on only one, two or maybe three things to achieve during any
given period of time. It is our responsibility to help our parent-partners to recognize goals, provide assistance in reaching those
goals, and lastly, celebrate accomplished goals.
