The mission of Two Rivers Head Start Agency is to alleviate the effects of poverty by providing education, support services, and opportunities for children, families, and communities.
Your child’s Head Start
Two Rivers Head Start Agency is more than just a preschool!
We are your partner in helping prepare your child for a lifetime of learning. Our Early Head Start serves pregnant mothers, infants, and toddlers. Early Head Start programs are available to the family until the child turns 3 years old and is ready to transition into the Head Start program.
Our Head Start program then steps in and continues services until the child turns 5 and is eligible for Kindergarten. Our Head Start program promotes the school readiness of young children from income-eligible families across a 5-county region of northern Illinois.
How We Can Help
This program assists working parents with daycare costs. Licensed childcare facilities approved by DHS are eligible for up to 50% weekly co-payments.
In partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Two Rivers operates two food pantries, located in Aurora & Elgin.
Two Rivers Head Start Agency is your community-action agency, providing assistance to families living in Kane County.
How You Can Help
TRHSA is proud to partner with families, children, staff, and other community agencies.
We rely on these partnerships to allow us to provide additional opportunities and resources for our children and families, promoting positive changes that will last a lifetime. Here’s what our families say
“Two Rivers has so blessed my life, given me reasons to go on, and move forward, no matter how difficult things can seem. Thank you for helping me maintain my dignity, quality of life, and (for) your ever-present compassion.”
