About Our Agency
Two Rivers Agency is more than just a preschool. We are your partner in helping prepare your child for a lifetime love of learning. Two Rivers Agency builds families!
To alleviate the effects of poverty by providing education, support services, and opportunities for children, families and communities.
Two Rivers Agency
The beginning of Head Start goes back to 1965, when President Johnson introduced legislation designed to fund new education programs as part of his “War on Poverty”. Since that time, over 50 years ago, Two Rivers Agency has evolved to operate under two major grants from the federal government: Head Start and the Community Services Block Grant.
Two Rivers Agency is based on the premise that all children share certain needs and that children can benefit from a comprehensive developmental program designed to meet those needs. We believe that the child’s family, as well as the community, must be involved to truly benefit the child. We are proud to be part of a Community Action Partnership that is helping people and changing lives.
Our staff are members of a growing profession offering quality childcare and educational instruction. Our centers are staffed by qualified center supervisors, teaching staff, and support staff.
We strive to be the benchmark for educational service agencies within our community. We advocate for children and families affected by poverty. In addition, we advocate for positive change by being a unifying partner in the provision of services.
We provide services for Kane and DeKalb counties and surrounding areas. To view a map of our locations and each of their services provided, please click the button below.
