We’re excited to partner with families, children, staff, and other community agencies!
***SPECIAL NOTICE: Two Rivers Head Start Agency provides two food pantries in partnership with the Northern Illinois Food Bank. We are currently seeking volunteers over the age of 18 years to work for social services without being remunerated and assist with the following activities and physical requirements: loading and unloading deliveries, liaising with food banks and grocery stores, sorting and stocking food and household items, prepping food and supplies distribution, checking for expiration dates, discarding expired items, and maintaining a clean, organized pantry.***
How can you help?
Two Rivers Head Start Agency is proud to partner with families, children, staff, and other community agencies. We rely on these partnerships to allow us to provide additional opportunities and resources for our children and families, promoting positive changes that will last a lifetime.
Parent and community volunteers
are welcomed into all of our centers! They are crucial in helping us to support the parent-child relationships that are essential to a child’s health and development, school readiness, and well-being. Some ways you can volunteer include: reading to children in the classroom, sharing a special skill or talent that you have with children in the classroom, being a chaperone on field trips, supporting teachers with classroom projects, or playing on the playground with our children.
Can offer their support through monetary donations, and donations of new children’s items, such as books and winter coats for children aged 3-5 years. We appreciate your help! Many of these donations are tax-deductible.
